With the release of the C40 Controller, ASTRO Gaming entered a brand new gaming market. Taking what we know about crafting equipment for gamers, we carried that thinking over to the C40. We ensured it was of the highest quality, thoughtfully designed, durable, and comfortable enough for extended play sessions. Swappable thumbstick modules, rear programmable paddles, and user-replaceable faceplates made this the ultimate PS4 controller available.

This project was a quick sprint on generating concepts that would ultimately be used in a select number of special ‘Launch Edition’ kits of the C40 that was seeded out to influencers ahead of the official controller release. Ultimately two colors (red  for North America and green for Europe) were chosen, and one design; a tactical camo pattern laser etched into the faceplate.
