Type Food is a typographic recipe book. The task was to create a book showing the rules and features of typography using a small page count. I chose to design the book with the look and feel of a more modern, type driven version of a beginner's cookbook, but replacing the actual recipes with rules of typography and parts of letters. Negative space was critical, as the color blocking, typography and glyphs were to be the focus. This was an early course at the Academy that helped foster my love for book design, color and simple, informed layouts.
